The learning unit template development process is the process of developing Learning unit templates that are later used to create Learning units in the Learning unit development process. A learning unit template defines the attributes of a type of learning unit, such as a type of course. The template also defines what constituent learning units may appear within the learning unit, such as assignments and exams within a course.
In general, the learning unit development configuration process consists of:
- A person starts a new learning unit template.
- The person selects from available attributes or defines new attributes for the type of learning unit being described.
- The draft template is completed.
- The proposed learning unit template passes through zero or more workflow steps. These steps may involve review, approval, and modification of the learning unit template.
- The learning unit template is finalized and added to the library of templates that is available to others in creating learning units.
